Our last day

We had a very nice last day. The school hosted a very nice farewell party that included a cupcake sheetcake, slideshow, a pinata and for the finale- a Mariachi Band! They presented us each with a CD of pictures and a monogrammed sweatshirt. It was tearful goodbye! We will miss them very much.

The Museo de Fundadora and Lanchitas

Hola, today we went to the Steel Foundry museum and took a boat ride. The Museum was really a science and history museum devoted to explaining how steel is manufactured and also to celebrate the impact that the industry had on the economy and life of the people of Monterrey. Then we took a boat ride up a man made river in the center of town.

I wanted to have all the children do a portion of the blog, but haven't been able so far. I will try tomorrow to have more write some.

The kids had a good day today. They have had FULL and fun days. I can't believe tomorrow is our last. There is a good-bye party manana.

The kids had a good time at school today. They attended classes and played at recess. The temperature was about 80 today- beautiful, breezy and sunny. Everyone seems to be getting along very well. Tomorrow we are going to some caves- the Howe's Caverns of Monterrey.
